I’ve got GREAT news for you! Young Living has just improved its already amazing Essential Rewards program. They’ve increased the percentage rates at which you earn rewards points to be used towards free products AND they’ve started adding bonus gifts based on how long you’ve been loyal the rewards program!
This improved royalty perks program is similar to the old model in that you earn back a certain percentage of PV {Personal Volume} back, which can be saved up and used towards free product later. But what makes the revamped model better is that the latter two percentages have increased and they’ve started throwing in bonus gifts once you reach certain loyalty benchmarks!
Here’s the basic breakdown for the new and improved Essential Rewards program:
- 10% PV back for the first 3 months you’re part of the ER program PLUS a gift at 3 months.
- 20% PV back for months 4-24 PLUS a gift at 6 and 9 months
- 25% PV back for months 24 and beyond PLUS the exclusive oil blend dubbed Loyalty at 12 months
What is the Essential Rewards Program?
So, you know how certain shops have loyalty programs? Where, for every dollar you spend at their store, they reward you with a percentage of that dollar to be used towards reduced or free product at their store? Well, that’s pretty much what the Essential Rewards program is, plus there are a handful of additional perks that come with it.
- Rewards Points. The obvious one. You get up to 25% PV back {based on how long you’ve been enrolled in the ER program–see above for details}. PV stands for Personal Volume and one PV point is worth basically the equivalent of $1 {for example most $15 items are worth 15 PV}.
- Easy Monthly Shipments. Just set up a specific day each month {mine is the 15th} for your Essential Rewards order to go through. Come that particular day, your order ships and is delivered right to your door. This order can be changed up each month, or you can keep having the same basics shipped each month.
- Reduced Shipping. For the first 5 pounds your order weighs, you pay a flat rate of $6.98 {$9.75 CAN} then 63¢ {70¢ CAN} per pound after that–a great savings!
- Free Gifts. Here’s that amazing NEW feature of the ER program! You get a free gift at months 3, 6, 9, and 12 {month 12 includes the essential oil blend Loyalty which is exclusive to this 12 month ER mark}.
- Skip a Month. Once a year, you have the choice to skip a month without affecting your progress in the program. This is great for when you need extra money, such as around Christmastime. I personally use it around July so my husband and I can afford to get massages for our anniversary.
- Rewards-only Commissions. For those selling Young Living, there are some exclusive commissions you’ll receive for being part of the ER program.
- Cancel Anytime. If you perchance decide that the ER program isn’t for you, you can easily cancel at any time.
How Do I Start the Essential Rewards Program?
First and foremost, to get started with the Essential Rewards program, you must be a Wholesale Member with Young Living.
You’ll have the choice to start the ER program as you’re signing up {if you’re not already a member}. There are special ER kits that you can buy in addition to your Starter Kit. But, I recommend not doing this unless, of course, you have the money to do so. Rather, I’d suggest you wait a month. After signing up this month, then sign up next month.
If you’re already a Wholesale Member, there are two ways to sign up for the Essential Rewards program:
- Online via the Virtual Office {that’s the place where you do stuff when you login to your account}.
- By calling Young Living at 1-800-371-2928.
Top 5 FAQs
Q: How do I maintain my ER account?
A: You must spend 50 PV {about $50} per month {except the month you choose to skip}.
Q: How do I redeem the ER points I’ve earned?
A: Login to Young Living, do a Quick Order, and at checkout it’ll give you the option to use your ER points.
Q: Do my ER points ever expire?
A: Yes, if you still have ER points after a year, they will go bye-bye. So feel free to save them up, but be sure to use them before 12 months have passed. Young Living typically sends a warning email before your points expire.
Q: I’m already enrolled in ER, so with this improved model, what percentage would I fall under?
A: You would fall under whatever the percentage is for the number of months you’ve been enrolled. So, for example, if you’ve been enrolled for 10 months, you’d start receiving 20%. If you’ve been enrolled for 40 months, you’ll start receiving 25%. So you might be getting a raise!
Q: Can I use my ER points for shipping?
A: Nope, you’ll still need to pay for shipping.
