Looking back to when my husband and I first got engaged, I remember the unique way I announced it to my friends. First, I sent them all a text message that said “Bling, bling, bling!” Then waited a bit. Most of them, of course, were like, “Huh? What’s THAT supposed to mean?” After which I texted a picture of my left hand with my brand new Blue Nile diamond ring and the caption “And a DIAMOND RING!” Which, in turn, received a bunch of yays, yee-haws, and congrats.

Since this week’s Friday’s Fancies, hosted by Long Distance Loving, is all about the bling, I decided to participate with a casual outfit accessorized with jewelry that shows off the deep love I have for my family. The outfit is set with a teething bangle, an adorable nest necklace, a loaded diaper bag, an I Love You tee, wedding and engagement rings that look very similar to my own, butterfly earrings which represent my husband’s and my butterfly-themed wedding, and some comfy jeans and sneakers.
