{Friday’s Fancies} Valentine’s Date Night

Affiliate Disclosure

My Friday's FanciesWith Valentine’s Day on the horizon, this month’s Friday’s Fancies’ theme is Date Night. This means that the fashionable set that I’m going to share with you today is something you might find me wearing on a date night with my incredibly handsome husband, the Mister.

If you are unfamiliar with Friday’s Fancies, it’s a really neat blog hop hosted by Alison of Long Distance Loving. Each month, Alison comes up with a theme and other bloggers put together a fashion ensemble surrounding that theme. I really like participating because it hones my creativity and matching skills–plus, it’s just really fun!

Casual Date Night

.

Since my hubby and I very rarely (if ever) go anywhere super fancy for our rare date nights, I decided that my date night savvy outfit shouldn’t be super fancy either (so step aside flirty red dress and go-to little black dress). Instead, my ensemble features casual yet still semi-dressy attire.

This outfit has a pair of comfy jeans, a lovely black and white figure-flattering striped tee-shirt, a black leather jacket (it’s still very much winter in our neck of the woods, so a jacket is most necessary), and a pair of black boots (which, ideally, would be insulated so I could walk through the snow without my toes getting cold). To accessorize everything is a small black and white handbag, silver jewelry (necklace, earrings, bangles, and ring), and a black headband to keep my hair in check when out in the wind.
