This week’s Friday’s Fancies’ theme is Short and Sweet, a theme revolving around a popular and comfy summer staple–shorts!
If you are unfamiliar with Friday’s Fancies, it’s a really neat blog hop hosted by Alison of Long Distance Loving. Each week, Alison comes up with a theme and other bloggers put together a fashion ensemble surrounding that theme. I really like participating because it hones my creativity and matching skills–plus, it’s just really fun!
I stumbled upon this super cute peach floral babydoll top on Polyvore one day and just had to assemble an outfit with it. Since the shorts-themed Friday’s Fancies came up, I decided to incorporate it with that.

I love the peachy-orange color. It goes great with turquoise and gold accents. And the warn-out look of the shorts totally speaks country summer to me!
