John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever shall believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Jesus died specifically to save us from our sins. He thought of each and every one of us as He hung there in complete agony on the cross.
Romans 3:10 says, “There is none righteous, no not one.” This means we are all sinners. Not one of us is so perfect that we sin not, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Even the most righteous Christian sins. It’s part of being human. Our flesh makes us weak. And because we sin, we must be punished. “For the wages [payment] if sin is death [hell]” (Romans 6:23a). But God graciously gives us deliverance from that punishment: “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23b). God sent His only begotton Son Jesus to die on the cross for us. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
So, how do you get saved? Romans 10:9-10 answers by saying: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
If Jesus is not yet your Savior, He can be — anytime, anywhere. Even here and now. Asking for Christ’s salvation is as easy as ABC, only backwards.
- Confess to Jesus that you are indeed a sinner, worthy of suffering hell fire.
- Believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died to save us from our sins, and rose from the dead to defeat Satan.
- Ask Jesus to be your personal Savior. Jesus will more than willingly give you His free gift and welcome you into His Kingdom with wide, waiting arms.
If you are unsure how to pray asking for salvation, pray the following from your heart:
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner more than deserving of eternal punishment in hell. But I believe that You came to earth, lived a perfect and sinless life, died on the cross to remove the punishment for my sins, and rose again to bring us victory. I now ask for Your precious gift of salvation, so that I may live in heaven with You for all eternity. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior today, please leave a comment below (and if you don’t want that comment published, let me know; alternatively, you can contact me) to let me know! I would love to pray for you!
God bless!

It felt so good to read your prayer and know that you care for others and their salvation. I know there is a Heaven. I saw my Mother enter the door to Heaven at the moment of her death. She reached out and turned a doorknob and said “and now what?” I’m sure she is in Heaven, waiting to greet her family who wait to join her. It was the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed, and being a nurse, i have seen many people die, but nothing like this. So I pray often, knowing God and Jesus are there, hearing me. I am grateful for your prayers, and I will also pray for you. God Bless You.

I certainly appreciated your prayer. This is Paul’s gospel in First Corin. 15:1-4 He tells us this is how we are saved, by believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

I sure have enjoyed looking through your website! You have several things in common, one being your salvation. I was saved at 11 and what a journey the Lord has taken me on so far! I now am married with a 5 year old and one on the way. I am an “old fashioned” farmers daughter that loves everything country. Your blog is refreshing and encouraging. Don’t know what state you’re in, but it would be wonderful to have someone like you near by to be friends with!
