{Friday’s Fancies} Work Wear

Affiliate Disclosure

This week’s Friday’s Fancies theme is Work Wear, which means that I and other participants shall be sharing what we wear while we work.

If you are unfamiliar with Friday’s Fancies, it’s a really neat blog hop hosted by Alison of Long Distance Loving. Each week, Alison comes up with a theme and other bloggers put together a fashion ensemble surrounding that theme. I really like participating because it hones my creativity and matching skills–plus, it’s just really fun!

Since I am a stay-at-home mom, I don’t get dressed up in fancy or formal anything. I get to dress relatively comfortably and can typically be found wearing a tank top of some sort and either pajama pants or yoga pants. My hair is usually held back with a head band or a hair band. I can often be found dusted with flour or covered in whatever my toddler boys were eating that day.

The ensemble I put together above illustrates something I might wear on a typical day and the tools or items that fill it. The outfit consists of a pair of comfy yoga pants, a simple tank top, a head band to keep my hair out of the way, and a pair of camo clogs (which I only wear when I need to go outside; otherwise, I’m usually barefoot). Represented here are some of my daily tasks including laundry (oh the piles and piles of laundry!), cleaning, cooking, cloth diapering, and playing with my sons.

My ensemble and all the things and tasks that go with it might be quite cluttered and unceasingly busy, but it’s very colorful, overflowing with love, and covered in kisses. It’s a blessing to be able to be a stay-at-home wife and mom and I would have it no other way!
