How to Determine How Many Times a Blog Post Has Been Pinned Onto Pinterest

Oh, my beloved Pinterest! I could waste HOURS on this website! It’s like the social media outlet for creative people. From succulent recipes and creative crafts to housekeeping tips and spiffy products, Pinterest has it all. And it’s a great tool for website owners. When readers share your post (or product/service, if you sell something), it is shared with their followers and can be pinned again and again, extending your reach further and further. For Measuring Flower, it’s one of the top sources of traffic.

Well, what if you’re curious or need to know how many times a blog post has been pinned? Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to figure it out!

First, let me show you how you can identify which posts are popularly being pinned. To do this, you utilize Pinterest itself. Put the following URL into your browser bar, exchanging the phrase “yourwebsiteURL” with, well, your website URL (omit the http://):

http://www.pinterest.com/source/yourwebsiteURL

This will bring up a page with all the pins from your website, but doesn’t give you an exact count. It merely exhibits what posts have pinned so you can get a fair idea of which posts are most popularly pinned.

To determine precisely how many times a particular post has been pinned, copy that post’s URL and go to Pin Count (brought to you by the creators of the Pinterest Plugin). Paste the post’s URL, click on the “Get Pin Count” button, and voila! It’ll show you how many times that post has been pinned.

And there you have it! Please leave me a comment letting me know if this post was helpful to you.

Did Pinterest remove this? I used to be able to see how many times a post was pinned but none of the blogs that had the instructions work any more. This option also doesn’t work.
