{Friday’s Fancies} New Year’s Winter-y Outfit

Affiliate Disclosure

This week’s Friday’s Fancies’ theme is in celebration of the new year!

If you are unfamiliar with Friday’s Fancies, it’s a really neat blog hop hosted by Alison of Long Distance Loving. Each month, Alison comes up with a theme and other bloggers put together a fashion ensemble surrounding that theme. I really like participating because it hones my creativity and matching skills–plus, it’s just really fun!

New Year Winter

I decided to put together a fun, warm, winter-y outfit that would keep one comfy and cozy when braving the cold outdoors (especially where I live!). My favorite part about this entire outfit would be the leg warmers! I recently purchased a pair of leg warmers for about $6 at Hobby Lobby and sewed lace along the top edge. They’re great at giving my legs extra warmth while also looking super cute. So I was sure to include a pair of leg warmers in this ensemble, made complete by a pair of tall riding boots.

Also in the outfit is a cute pink tee-shirt, some comfy jeans (in reality, I would probably pick Carhartt jeans because they’re durable and fairly warm), a spacious handbag, an awesome jacket with a faux fur collar that looks like a pilot’s jacket, a lovely scarf, mittens that open up for the fingers, some winter-y silver and diamond jewelry, and a warm beanie which I made more feminine by adding a simple white flower.

To see more of my style, follow me on Polyvore and Pinterest.
