From its blossom to its root, the dandelion is an incredibly beneficial, edible plant. It has both medicinal and nutritional value. Some of it’s super powers include reducing pain, helping against inflammation, boosting immunity, aiding in digestion, serving as an antioxidant, and fighting against conditions like cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure. I haven’t brought myself to try dandelions yet, but considering that they keep popping up all over my yard and I keep seeing and hearing more great things about them, I need to! Just need to go for the ones in the front yard since who knows where the dogs have, ah-hem landed… on the ones in back! 😉

I tried making Dandelion wine one year! We still have a bottle of it left; hubby said it was good. I found out I was pregnant, so I never got to try it myself!
