Blendtec Designer Series WildSide Blender and Twister Jar Review

Blendtec is a manufacturer of incredible, high-power, high-quality blenders and accessories. This company began in 1975 when founder Tom Disckson began inventing stainless steel grain milling burrs. From there, his inventions continued until he began creating Blendtec blenders for the home and for commercial use.

DSCN5866 — We were sent a Blendtec Designer Series WildSide blender and a Twister Jar to review.

DSCN5870 — The lids that came with each of the jars have a removable piece so you can add ingredients carefully as the machine is moving.

To operate the machine, there are touchscreen buttons. When the blender is turned off, all the buttons (except the power button if it's plugged in) are invisible. Here is the blender in use. It can get pretty noisy, especially with thicker things, but it does a quick, AMAZING job.

The Twister Jar, which is intended for thicker recipes like hummus or nut butter, came with a tool that helps you move food off the sides of the jar as it builds up.

My favorite thing to make with the Twister Jar thus far is nut butter.

Wow! This is one amazing blender. My old, cheap blender had to be shaken and pounded and rattled to get it to do anything. And even then it did nowhere near as thorough a job as the Blendtec does! I can now enjoy smoothies that are, well, smooth! And the Twister Jar will surely save the motor in my food processor as I continue to make fresh, homemade nut butters.
